about

Ease Into Anxiety is taken from the E.P Ecstatic Highs / Euphoric Lows. It was written Summer of 2014 but finished of lyrically Summer 2016. It's a song about both suffering from anxiety in general but also the anxiety of feelings i had towards someone i had fallen in love with at that time. I've never played this song live as it's too difficult.

It's my second favourite recording i've ever been a part of. Brent and i did a great job arranging it. I love the mood for most of the song then at the end how it explodes into a glorious ending. Amazing playing by Brent as usual. His Little Richard piano licks at the end are amazing. It's just a total favourite.

I made a video for the song too. I had to edit it because the source of the songs lyrics was in the video and she no loger wanted to be in it... vimeo.com/user3447455

lyrics

"When that dark feeling builds and your legs go weak.
Words flow so slow can't hardly speak.
Confidence disappears through a shallow creek.
It's a challenge every hour, every day of the week.

It's a wonder how I've managed to believe
Everything's ok just a heart on my sleeve.
But I know it's wrong to be so naïve
To attain a peace of mind if we still speak.

Your blue eyes offered a blissful kiss
But that was so long ago.
Ease into anxiety when I miss
The way we'd flow.

We join together like wet grains of sand.
Eye to eye, heart to heart, hand in hand.
But we know the situation to be damned.
One of us has to take a firm stand.

Your blue eyes offered a blissful kiss
But that was so long ago.
Ease into anxiety when I miss
The way we'd flow.

No words need to spoken, our thoughts are left so open.
We ventured in a dream, never wanting to be woken"
