Ecstatic Highs / Euphoric Lows

about

Ecstatic Highs / Euphoric Lows is taken from the E.P of the same name. The song was written Summer of 2014 in Toronto and recorded Winter 2015 in Hamilton. Like every song on that E.P lyrics we're re written to describe a romance that I was going through while recording.

This song seems to be a favourite of people who have listened to my music. It has a seamless flow to it but with a variation of nuances. Simply put, the song's underlying strength stems from the recording and instrumentation of Brent Randall. Ashley Feldman's vocals also add a playfulness to the song.

I made a video for this song as well... vimeo.com/user3447455

lyrics

"You peel glades of grass with the tips of your toes
Then tickle them lightly to the end of your nose.
Everyone watches your innocent show...
Of Ecstatic Highs to Euphoric Lows.

The feeling builds and your legs go weak.
Words get heavy, so hard to speak.
Thoughts they stiffen as your mood turns bleak.
Hear my voice, feel me speak.

What will you do when the sky turns grey?
Sit in silence and hope for rain?
Or wish it all away?

Brighter days your love light shows.
Filled with wonder, that only you know.
Enlightens a heart shot from cupid's bow.
The more you give, the more I grow.

What will you do when the sky turns grey?
Sit in silence and hope for rain?
Or wish it all away?

So many knots in the threads of our lives
Unsure to cave or survive the strife."
